Second Annual “Dope Black Chick Picnic” To Be Held In Atlanta

In 2018, Black Women living in Georgia and surrounding states took to Atlanta’s Piedmont Park to express their creativity while enjoying an environment of refreshing and sisterhood. The Dope Black Chick Picnic is presented by I Hear That Girl. It will be returning to Piedmont Park September 1st for its second year.

The experience is curated by I Hear That Girl Founder and Host of The Dope Black Chick Podcast, Kimberly “Isis” Thomas. Thomas is passionate about black women’s empowerment. She makes it a point to highlight “Dope Black Chicks” on her platforms. In line with the theme of its origin, the Dope Black Chick Picnic is a celebration of all things Black Girl Magic!

The picnic is currently open for registration. Attendees are encouraged to decorate their own individual picnic space (an example of their Dopeness), while enjoying yoga, painting, affirmations and other activities in the park. Recap videos and photos from the first picnic are available for viewing on The Dope Black Chick website. Previous attendees rave that the first year DBC picnic was a fantastic experience to be apart of.

This year it’s set to be even bigger and better than the last one. More information and registration details about this event can be found on its official webpage: TheDopeBlackChick.com
