I also take extra care with my eyes. I deal with dark circles and hyperpigmentation—not from exhaustion, just from life and genetics. So I look for gentle eye products that are safe for melanated skin and kind to that delicate area.

Cooling eye patches, soothing eye creams, and soft spa headbands all help this part of the routine feel calm instead of rushed.

I finish with lip care—something to soften and seal—because small comforts matter.


Oral Care as a Quiet Act of Self-Respect

Brushing my teeth isn’t just hygiene—it’s presence.

Using a quality toothbrush and slowing down during this step reminds me that I’m worth taking care of, even before productivity enters the room.

It’s one of those small habits that says, I showed up for myself today.

This lets me stay in the calm instead of breaking it.

Before I plan my day, I empty my thoughts.

I journal in thick, spiral-bound notebooks with wide lines—nothing fancy, just comfortable. I write what’s on my mind, what I’m carrying, what I don’t want to drag into the day.
