Black Women Entrepreneurs: Becoming A Black Boss Babe

Despite being the most educated, currently black women in the corporate space still make about 35% less than white men. With the pay gap projected to decrease by the year 2119 its understandable that many Black women are finding their financial freedom in becoming business owners. Black women are the fastest growing group of entrepreneurs. So sis it’s never too early or too late to be a Black Boss Babe.

Let me introduce you to a young powerhouse.

Zandra Cunningham obsession with lip balm catapulted her into entrepreneurship after her father refused to purchase more lip balm for her. He challenged her with the task of making the product herself. The then nine year old accepted the challenge and with the help of family she started her company that produces plant based beauty products that included lip balms and whipped shea body butter. Today, the teenager has expanded Zandra Beauty to include bath and body products that are also sold in Target. Along with being a black boss babe Zandra is also a motivational speaker working to empower other women on their path to becoming entrepreneurs.

As always, be kind, be safe and stay beautiful!!!
