Norcross, GA. — Although the sun was shining Sunday January 20th, the cold breeze outside was in full effect, but the breeze didn’t stop women from across the Metro-atlanta area and beyond from coming out and being apart of what turned out to be a fabulous experience. Women from South Carolina, Alabama and even as far as Africa were in the building with style, grace, elegance and a beautiful atmosphere to top it off.
In it’s 3rd year, I Hear That Girl’s “HerStory Brunch” continues to “rise” up to new levels of excellence. The brunch event took place at Canvas Showroom in Norcross, GA. The food prepared by a local catering company was excellent. Various frittatas with eggs, cheese, spinach, partnered with exquisite french toast and southern-style grits tasted just as good as they looked.
Guests ate well, but they were also served wisdom and inspiration from the insightful featured guests on the Brunch’s agenda which included Brittney Greene of “Let’s Go To Therapy”, Crystal Nicole Little, Keisha Smith, and Sherrie Raymore of Philmore Academy and Black Girl Excellence.
The enlightenment also included an engaging “Write to Release” activity facilitated by Brunch Host Mone Wallace. As a brunch that empowers women and allows them to share their stories in an environment of support and inspiration, the Official HerStory Brunch is an amazing resource to women in the Atlanta community and abroad.
The Brunch was created by I Hear That Girl’s very own Founder Kimberly “Isis” Thomas. Thomas who delivered the Keynote for this year’s brunch stands in the conviction that “Every woman’s story is important.” The annual brunch provides a space for women to openly share, heal and be given the tools to understand their lives and utilize the POWER that comes from them.
I Hear That Girl would like to thank each and every attendee who helped make the Brunch a wonderful experience!
