Recently, I attended the Hope Global Forum here in Atlanta, GA and had the honor of meeting Mayor Aja Brown of Compton, CA. This young woman, who became Mayor at the age of 31, has done miraculous work revitalizing the city of Compton. She spoke on a Women’s Panel during the forum about the issues women are facing in business, economically, and abroad. After her time onstage, I was able to ask a few questions of her and the other women on the panel in regards to how we change the stereotypical ideals for women. There is a glass ceiling that society has created for women and now we have to focus on how to obliterate it.
