The month of June has been great so far, filled with empowering events and amazing black women. Saturday, I was invited to speak at the Queens With A Purpose event sponsored by Real Talk Girl Talk blogger, Mone Wallace.
Held in my hometown of the CSRA, I felt at home. The women in attendance came ready to find direction in regards to their purpose. I spoke among a group of powerful speakers, La’Preia Williams, Victoria Wilson, and Stephanie Barnes. Mone was a gracious host that encouraged the women to tap into their inner Queen.

We indulged in delicious tea sandwiches and a variety of teas, and fun ice breaker games (in which I won) that allowed us to learn so much about the other women in attendance. Some women came alone and still felt like they were in the presence of friends.
Each speaker shared their stories of finding and/or searching for purpose in this journey called life, as well as teaching the attendees how to walk as the Queens they are. I met lots of intelligent young women searching for a mentor. I am excited to lend a helping hand to them in search of true purpose.
