Black girls definitely got the juice! If you’re over 21, we have the wine as well! I am a lover of wines and am always on the lookout for Black-Owned Wine to imbibe on. So, when I saw a post on my Facebook timeline about Kim Lewis and her New Orleans based wine collection, I smiled with delight and prepared to share the information.
My biggest FLEX is sitting in my OWN winery with a tasting room when the industry only has 1% of African Americans who own wine companies. Not to mention, it’s the FIRST ONE in New Orleans. Bosses don’t wait for someone to change the rules, they write them.
Kimmy Lewis, Ole Orleans (via FB)
At the heart and soul of “Ole’ Orleans Wines: A Tribute To Historic New Orleans” it was founded by Kim Lewis. There’s no doubt that our wines would not be the same if it were not for the creativity and passion Kim brings to the table! Ole’ Orleans was brought to life in 2018 based on the love of New Orleans and Kim’s family history. Each bottle is dedicated to a part of New Orleans’ history, making every bottle a collector’s item.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Kim is the mother of three beautiful and amazing children. Kim and her children enjoy spending time with their dogs, horses, and sunny beaches. The family takes pride in everything that is Naturally Nawlins, from festivals to parades, you can find them at all of the festivities.
Ole’ Orleans started as a dream, grew to a mapped out vision, and is now a reality! At the end of the day, wine is just a beverage. But it becomes a part of something greater: it brings people together over a meal, for celebrations big and small. So why not celebrate with a bottle of exclusive rich wine and historic history? The perfect conversation piece…
