I suffer from insomnia. Sometimes, the onset is due to not giving me adequate time to wind down. Other times, it has to do with my period, and yet other times, it is just a thorn in my side.
On one of my recent late night/early morning insomnia sessions, I was up scrolling Google (at 3am) doing random searches on the millions of thoughts that come across your mind. The search was about common castor oil. I wanted to know what benefits this oil offered. I’ve been using castor oil since 2008 when I did the “big chop” and returned to natural. It was responsible for explosive growth for my hair, keeping my edges intact, my hair super healthy and thick.
Well, not only is castor oil the saving grace for thinning edges and healthy hair, but it can also treat your insomnia! Just rub on your eyelids before bed and drift off to sleep. YES! It is that simple! I tried it, and I got peaceful, unbroken, deep sleep. How does it work?
Since castor oil acts as an anti-inflammatory, it opens the blood vessels to let more blood and oxygen flow freely. Thus, enabling you to sleep better. I wish I’d known about this earlier. So now, I am spreading the knowledge. Don’t be stingy, pass it on!
