Canton Jones/Kierra Sheard Album Release Atlanta

Canton Jones’ “God City USA’ and Kierra Sheard’s “Going 2 Graceland” albums were recently released this month.  The two got together for an album release concert Tuesday night at New Hope, where Canton Jones is the youth pastor.  The night was sponsored by Wal-Mart and hosted by Isaac Carree.

The event kicked off with music by gospel contemporary artist, Aliya.

canton_jones_god_city_usaWhen Canton Jones hit the stage, the crowd was on its feet!!!  He led the audience into prayer then started with:
“Glory To God”- with a simple chant hook, the tune was easily a fan favorite.
“God Looks Good On You”- is a song that takes the focus off of material and physical adorations and onto the spiritual makeup of an individual.

Darlene McCoy joined CaJo to perform their single, “More of You”, and Isaac Carree lipsynced his verse to “Like You”, admitting that he had just recently been sent the completed song in preparation for the event.  We all laughed and bounced on with the cd track!

The ultimate treat of the night was the moment Canton Jones sowed 1000 of his cd’s into the audience.  Asking them to take as many as they could to pass on to others as a ministry tool!  Many attendees sitting next to me stated they were still buying the album because of his “selflessness”.   CaJo ended his performance ministry…with “I Can’t Help It”!  This song is definitely a song that will get you amped up to give your all for God!  Each time they played the song (just the intro and at least 6 times), the crowd grew more and more frantic!  It was truly a Holy Ghost Praise Break of epic proportions!

GracelandWhen CaJo stepped down, Kierra Sheard came right in.  She opened up with her lead single, “2nd Win”, and her vocal prowess cast most of us into a goosebump fury.  Kierra performed many cuts from her #1 album, “Going 2 Graceland” and ended with fan favorites that she’s penned like, “Walking” and “The God In Me”.

The entire evening was filled with anointed performances, uplifting messages, and a thirst for more God music!  You cannot beat that!
