Author name: Gessie Belizaire

Gessie Belizaire has had for a long time a passion for social justice and a deep commitment to improving the human condition of all people. The Haitian native burst into the academic writing scene in 2018 with her debut book titled, UnMet Potential, a comparative analysis between Haiti and Guinea where crucial questions about history, the black narrative and self identification are broken down culturally. She recently authored a children's book titled, How I Learned to Grow, to teach the importance of lifetime growth and how it starts at infancy, Motivated to further her reach, Belizaire teamed up with CEO, author, and Founder of Ihearthatgirl.com, Kimberly "Isis" Thomas as a relationship contributing writer, to empower black women to embrace their beauty, crush stereotypes and to live by their own standards. I hope through my addition whether you are reading and identify as advantaged, disadvantaged or dispossessed, I want you, yes you....black woman, to know that you are worthy and you are more than a single story....that there are layers to you. Now journey with me as we unpack and peel those many layers from a focused lens of being in relationship with us and "relationships" in general so to speak.
