Avengers Endgame: 3 Reasons Why Marvel Remains Unrivaled

Opening night was sold out… I missed the ball on getting my tickets. However, I was there bright and early Friday morning to catch Avengers: Endgame!

My homeboy, Alton, came along with me. He was not nearly as excited as I am. He’s a newbie to the Marvel Universe. Yet, I know he’s caught the bug. He was so engaged during the movie. He is representative of a couple of things: there were a LOT of black Marvel moviegoers in attendance. And it’s important that this is acknowledged. There’s a stigma that we aren’t fans and that we don’t support these films. I discussed this in a recent podcast episode with some other dope Marvel enthusiasts. [Check out the episode below]

Black Girls Dig Comics Too!

Here is how Marvel has changed the action/comic film game and what YOU can learn from it in your business:

  1. Create a story that makes them want more. Marvel is so good at taking a story that lends itself to the next story and the next. Great foreshadowing is what Marvel excels at.
  2. Make a personal connection. Each character is fully developed in such a way that you either have an allegiance or love for them. I was truly affected by the loss of these characters and overjoyed by the return!
  3. Know Your Customer. Marvel pays attention to its customer and the climate. This was seen in the diversity of the cast as well as the “Girl Power” moment in the film. Marvel is paying attention, and where the attention is paid, they will see the green.

If you’d like more information on how to implement these actions best for your business, I am hosting a group coaching Marketing Bootcamp and Intensive entitled, You Are Your Brand! beginning July 14, 2019. Seats are limited, secure your seat today by emailing ihearthatgirl@gmail.com.
