Here’s to Great Adventures with the 2018 Mazda CX-3

I don’t want to call myself a Valentine’s Day Scrooge, but… I’m just not a fan of the day.  Why?  Because it totally ignores single people like myself.  Don’t get me wrong, I am very secure in my single status, but Valentine’s Day just makes it seem like you have leprosy on that day, lol.

What to do? What to do?

I am always on the lookout for new adventures, so I decided to try on “speed dating”.  I’ve never done it before, and since I had no “boo” to celebrate with… I figured, why not?  My friends at Mazda sent me the spiffy new 2018 Mazda CX-3 for my adventure, which to me is a single person’s dream.  It’s the perfect size, lol.  I grabbed my homegirl (who is as single as me) and we were set to attend our first speed dating event.

Welp, it didn’t happen.  I found it odd that the speed dating events were all postponed until AFTER Valentine’s Day!!  Ugh!  See, this is why I am not a fan of the day.  That didn’t stop us, we figured, we’ll meet some guys at a few networking events around town.

Face palm.  Child, I never noticed just how many women are about their business.  Women really outnumber men 4 to 1 or more.  After the third networking event, I was feeling worn out in the search, but I WILL say, I enjoyed meeting some fabulous new fempreneurs.  I visited a bar for a night out with my girls and we really had a great time.  Over the weekend, I traveled to Calloway Gardens with my business partner as we conducted a marketing workshop for Georgia Gwinnett College.

Even though I am single and not a fan of the holiday, I realized I was surrounded by so many loving friends and exciting experiences were all around.  And I definitely want to thank my friends at Mazda, because the ease of drive and fit of this car for me, made me want to explore more.  My roommate said, “You’ve been out more this week than you have in quite a while.”  They were right… this car is for the adventurer.

I capped off my weekend by visiting HoneyBubble Tea, a cafe I’ve wanted to try since I moved to Atlanta in 2012.  For whatever reason, I’d never made it there to try.  I “zoom-zoomed” (pun intended) over to try the tea for the first time and attend a group reading event, “Pretty Girls Read”.  Both experiences made for an exciting conclusion to an adventurous week.
