BMF: Black Mafia Family recounts the true story of the origins of the influential crime mafia brothers Terry “Southwest T” Flenory and Demetrius Flenory in Detroit in the late 1980’s. Their quest for the dream of a better life lead them to the dangerous world of operating and distributing drugs. Later they were able to banks roll the careers of many hip-hop artist, producers and music labels. This 8 episode series is a deep dive into how these notorious kingpins impacted Black culture.
Continuing with his deal with the Starz Network, media powerhouse, Curtis, “50 cent “ Jackson is the series executive producer as well as Randy Huggins ( “Rebel,” “Power”, Star,”). Tasha Smith, of Tyler Perry’s “Why did I get Married” fame, is also executive producer and director of some episodes. Some of the key players includes Demetrius ‘Lil Meech’ Flenory Jr, the son of Demetrius Flenory, Rapper Kash Doll, brothers Steve Harris and Wood Harris, Russel Hornsby, Michole Briana White and Myles Truitt, just to name a few.
