Ummm ma’am, you can’t exclaim that your body is a temple whilst still using that crusty shower pouf to clean it!
Here’s the issue with shower poufs: as you scrub your skin to clean it, dead skin cells get trapped inside the netting of the pouf. Those dead skin cells, compounded with the moist conditions of the shower pouf, make the perfect breeding ground for bacteria and mold. You definitely don’t want that!

Out of all of the shower poufs here, Naomi picked me up in Walmart today. Perhaps because of my light pink hue or because the manufacturer says I’m infused with Argon oil. Whatever it is, I’m just happy to be #chosen and #pickme lol. Happy to be settling into my new home, which smells like pecan pie btw, yummy!! Anyway, Naomi places me on the bathroom shelf and I’m so excited for her to use me.

I had a strange encounter with another shower pouf today. Dusty Deborah was her name, well Deborah is her name but I call her Dusty Deborah. After Naomi hung me next to Deborah, Deborah slowly swiveled around she said “don’t get too comfortable”, which I thought was rude and then she says to me “oh btw nice color, I remember when I use to look like that. “ She’s just jealous I suppose.

My mesh is interwoven with the fragrance of cherry blossom body wash. That’s right Naomi and I had our first bath today. First of many I hope!!!!

Cherry Blossom body wash the sequel!!!!! I love the body wash Naomi has. My only complaint, and it’s a small one, but after the shower I just drip throughout the night and it gets a little cold.

I’ve not seen Naomi in a while. When she got in the shower and grabbed me I heard her say “ I know its Covid but you need a shower” to herself. Not really sure what that means but I was happy to see her.

My once vibrant pink mesh is dusty… omg like dusty Deborah! Then I mustered up the strength to look around and I’m greeted by Britt the Mitt Exfoliator. I fear this is the end. It all makes sense now.
Shower poufs, only provide you with the benefits of truly being clean if you exchange them every few weeks. Lets face it, that can become expensive and you’re doing yourself a great disservice by introducing that bacteria onto your skin that will most likely cause an infection. Get rid of the mesh mess.. ahem shower pouf and get into real cleanliness. Healthy alternatives could be exfoliband silicone loofahs, machine-washable materials or mitten exfoliators. Typically a product that is made of silicone will be anti-bacterial and much better for you to use over time.
